Make sure you are mindful of your pets during the holiday season. Your pets can't eat certain human foods and you should be aware.
Food - Don't feed pets chocolate, grapes, or treats made with xylitol. These can be toxic, even fatal to your pets.
Decorations - Secure loose lighting cords and ornaments to avoid shocking accidents. Tensels, robbons, and wreaths can be considered shiny new cat toys. Make sure they are secure to avoid danger.
Tree Stand - The water basin of your cut-tree stand can contain bacteria that will make your pet sick. Cover with an aluminum foil so they aren't tempted to drink.
Plants - Lilies, Poinsettias, Mistletoe, Holly, Amarylis, and Chives can be poisonous to pets. Keep them off the floor and away from food dishes.
Visitors - For stress free gatherings, keep pets in a secluded area when entertaining a lot of unknown guests.
